JOB OVERVIEW

OVERVIEW

This is a full time position that supports multi-plant, custom manufacturing operations with a commitment to quality and exceeding customer expectations. Training shifts are 6:00am - 2:30pm (M-F) or 9:30am - 6:00pm (M-F). Normal shift hours will be 2:30pm - 1am (M-Thurs.). Overtime and weekend work as required.  Production work environment is in a climate controlled, open workspace with light equipment manufacturing.

 

Candidate must exhibit a commitment to quality, attention to detail and a sense of urgency as part of our production team. Additionally, must be determined to always exceed customer expectations in being responsive and producing quality products.

 

Work environment is a fast-paced, climate-controlled plant with an open floor plan. We are ISO certified with 5S operating systems in place across all manufacturing divisions.

Division: Screen, Production Floor

 

Reports To: Screen Production Lead or Supervisor, Production Manager

 

Summary: Responsible for all production aspects of the screen printing process ( screen making, exposure, preparation, reclamation, material handling, printing (cylinder and flatbed) and ink mixing.

Compensation Range:   $12.00 - $19.00 (Based upon experience)

 

BASE QUALIFICATIONS

  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Ability to solve routine production issues
  • Operate and make adjustments to mechanical equipment to maintain quality and speed
  • Work independently with little supervision
  • Able to make good decisions when problems present themselves
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast paced environment
  • Basic computer skills
  • Detail oriented

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION:

 

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required

 

 

EXPERIENCE:

 

  • Screen printing experience required
  • Minimum 1 year of operating screen printing equipment in a manufacturing setting
  • Screen printing experience with automatic press equipment, a plus
  • Digital or graphic screen printing experience, a plus
  • Cylinder press experience, a plus

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

REQUIRED:

 

  • Operate screen print production equipment safely and efficiently, producing quality products
  • Inspection of product produced to job specifications and quality standards
  • Receives production order and job assignments from supervisor or lead
  • Obtains needed supplies to produce job
  • Completes production records as required by company guidelines
  • Ensures cleanliness of work area
  • Project positive and professional behavior/attitude
  • Additional tasks/duties/special projects may be assigned, as necessary

 

SKILLS NEEDED

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

 

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals .

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

 

  • Ability to regularly lift or move up to 30 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move 50 pounds
  • Bending and twisting for 8 hours or more
  • Standing and walking for 8 hours or more
  • Good color perception
