Since our founding in 1965, ALG Labels & Graphics has continuously evolved to meet the needs of our customers. Today, we proudly operate three divisions within our plant along with an attached distribution center.

1965

ALG Labels + Graphics was originally founded as Alabama Labels, beginning with a single 7-inch flexographic press and a clear vision — to serve a growing need in the marketplace for reliable, high-quality custom labeling solutions. From the very beginning, our team brought a deep understanding of the industry and a strong can-do attitude, driven by a mission to deliver exceptional service and dependable products that our customers could trust.

What started as a small operation built on hard work, craftsmanship, and personal commitment quickly earned a reputation for quality and responsiveness. Our founders recognized that many businesses were struggling to find a label partner who truly understood their products and could deliver durable, precise, and compliant solutions on time — and they set out to fill that gap.

1996

ALG established its Digital Division with the addition of a 60-inch solvent inkjet printer and a digital cutting system, expanding our capabilities to include short-run, cost-effective, and outdoor-durable vinyl products. This investment allowed ALG to offer rapid prototyping, quick-turn decals, and greater flexibility for our customers’ evolving needs.

Over time, the Digital Division has continued to grow, now featuring UV inkjet printing for both rigid and flexible substrates, water-based inkjet, vinyl plotter cutting, thermal transfer, and precision digital cutting with optical registration. These advancements have enabled ALG to deliver exceptional quality and versatility across a wide range of applications.

Today, ALG operates with three fully integrated divisions — Screen, Flexo, and Digital — ensuring we can support every customer’s need, from large-scale production runs to highly customized, short-run projects. This combined expertise allows us to deliver consistent quality, quick turnarounds, and durable solutions across every market we serve.

1998

ALG reached a pivotal moment in its growth when the company decided it was time for a name that better reflected who we had become and where we were headed. As our reach expanded well beyond the southeastern United States, our original identity no longer captured the full scope of our capabilities or the diversity of the markets we serve.

To align our brand with this evolution, we underwent a complete rebranding—adopting the name ALG Labels + Graphics. This new name represents more than just an update; it signifies our commitment to innovation, quality, and partnership across a broader customer base. Today, ALG Labels + Graphics serves clients throughout North America and beyond, delivering durable label and graphic solutions for industries ranging from heavy equipment and manufacturing to transportation, waste management, and fire suppression.

2016

In 2016, ALG Labels + Graphics underwent a full plant renovation focused on efficiency and improvement. Each division was carefully evaluated through lean manufacturing and 5S principles, leading to strategic relocation of equipment, materials, and finishing stations to optimize workflow. The result was a streamlined production flow and expanded capabilities across every division.

Since then, we’ve continued to enhance our offerings with improved art division capabilities and dedicated teams that strengthen quality, creativity, and overall customer support.

2024

We implement EOS — the Entrepreneurial Operating System — to strengthen alignment, accountability, and efficiency across our organization. EOS provides a clear framework for setting goals, tracking progress, and improving communication, ensuring every team member is focused on what matters most. By operating through EOS, we’ve built a culture centered on clarity, consistency, and continuous improvement, allowing us to better serve our customers and deliver reliable, high-quality results.
