JOB OVERVIEW

OVERVIEW

This is a full time position that supports multi-plant, custom manufacturing operations with a commitment to quality and exceeding customer expectations. Production hours are 6:00am - 2:30pm (M-F) or 12:30pm - 1:00am (M-TH). Overtime and weekend work as required.  Production work environment is a climate controlled, open workspace with light equipment manufacturing.

Division: Screen, Production Floor

 

Reports To: Screen Production Supervisor

 

Summary: Responsible for setting up and operating finishing equipment, handwork, inspection and packaging product.

Starting Compensation Range:   $11.05 - 13.50. Based upon experience. 2nd shift is compensated $1 per hour additionally.

BASE QUALIFICATIONS

  • Works well with hands, good fine motor skills
  • Detailed oriented
  • Works independently with little supervision
  • Multi-task, ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast paced environment

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION:

 

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required

 

 

EXPERIENCE:

 

  • Minimum 1 year of manufacturing experience
  • Screen, digital or offset printing experience a plus.
  • Mechanical/machine skills a plus

 

REQUIRED:

 

  • Operate finishing equipment safely and efficiently, producing quality products
  • Inspection of product produced to job specifications and quality standards
  • Packaging of finished product for shipment to customer or warehouse
  • Obtains needed supplies to produce job
  • Completes production records as required by company guidelines
  • Ensures cleanliness of work area
  • Project positive and professional behavior/attitude
  • Responsive - timely and appropriately to all ALG personnel
  • Follow administrative procedures established for inter/intradepartmental interaction
  • Additional tasks/duties/special projects may be assigned, as necessary

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

SKILLS NEEDED

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

 

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure.

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

 

  • Ability to regularly lift or move up to 30 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move 50 pounds
  • Bending and twisting for 8 hours or more
  • Standing and walking for 8 hours or more
  • Good color perception
